Looks pretty cool. It's my understanding that way back when, they used to make special runs or a custom color production. Pretty cool if it is legit.

I didn't know that they had offered custom colors. Green is in the name so I think they should all be green!

I've seen some blue ones and even a couple red ones. I think they are pretty rare. I'm anxious to know if this one is legit.

For never being used, it sure does look like it's seen some wear and tear.

Someone posted that yesterday and I assumed it was a runny paint job.  If it hasn't been used I don't now what all the drippy marks are on the side.  I think someone rattle-canned it.

I am sure someone from the mothership would know if it was legit or not. 

Personally I want all of my eggs to be green.

Ask them if they can provide the serial number and then you can check with the mothership.

Early blue ones were made, even with ss nests and mates for the Florida market. There was a blue egg for sale on ebay several years ago (untouched) that was purchased by BGE. @Big_Green_Craig, I am not as aware of the red eggs, but wouldn't doubt it.

Crappy paint job on top of it. I believe blue is the only other color BGE has done besides green. Any other color is ”custom”. I would love a blue egg just because of the limited run they did of them

@Lit I was tempted myself. Never even used! Still kind of kicking myself for not jumping on it. I think it was a 2-3 day road trip for me to pick it up. I wish one of us would have picked it up

Maybe you could find the buyer of the blue egg.  Make him and offer he can't refuse.

@tigertony The blue egg would be cool to own and wish I would have bought it at the time. It's hard to justify tracking one down now with 7 grills and only being my wife and I. I like your thinking though
