new thermometer in the mail for my Large BGE replacing the original that's now 8 years old and having some issues. Will let you know how it goes. The cap is working just fine after a couple of hundred cooks.
1 Large BGE, 1 Mini BGE, 1 Minimax BGE, Original wife and 3 dogs living in the heart of BBQ country in Round Rock Texas.

    I like that it has a large color-coded dial. I could easily see what the temp is from my bedroom window without having to go outside. Hope its as reliable as the Tel-Tru therm. Is it NSF certified?
