    This was right before we went to the Kentucky Kansas championship game at the Superdome.  Me with friends from KY.   We had great seats through the final four.

    tulocay ....I used to live in Marietta, right behind the "Big Chicken"...that was ~ 1983-1991 timeframe !! I went to Marietta from Dallas/Arlington with Silver Dollar City Construction Co. to build the White Water water theme park there. 

    And of course, I am familiar with Etown...not too far from me here in Carrollton.

    I hate Kentucky just a tad more than I hate dook .    come join me for the UNC vs Kentucky game in the theater.   It will be a good time.

    I don't know how anyone could root for KY. It's like rooting for East German women. 

    In the last several years, they have managed to do less with more than maybe any team in history. They have more talent than UCLA in the Wooden years and I'm guessing they cheat more.

    I miss the Bob Knight v Joe B. Hall days.

    You know you got a good program when people hate it the most.  Esp with the speculation of cheating sans evidence.   Maybe they just recruit well because of Calipari.

    @nolaegghead It's not speculation for me. It's the stench Calipari takes with him everywhere. The evidence is the fact that he has only been to the final 4 three times officially, despite actually being there 5 total times. I will give it to him though, he recruits like few others. Ultimately, he takes advantage of the stupidity of the NCAA better than anyone. It makes a mockery of college basketball, but then again, the NCAA does that better than anyone.

    @nolaegghead, I don't hate on Kentucky. I couldn't care less about a team in a football conference. Dook is the only team I hate.

    Dear @Eggcelsior esquire sir the third,

    I like Kentucky because all the football schools I like have crappy BB teams, and one of my best friends is from KY, (although he went to William and Mary and LSU law) and he's a Kentucky fan.  Secondly, they're controversial and thirdly they are hated.  It's a perfect storm for me to be a troll, antagonist of fans of lesser schools (lesser as far as being hated as much for BB). 

    That's pretty much like skiing.

    Calipari is a cheat. There is no disputing that. Pitino is a swine. There is no disputing that. Kentucky basketball is for people who don't know basketball, but like dunks by brain dead all-star teams. Quick, what is the ratio of academic all Americans to McDonald's all Americans? The answer is always a constant = 0. Quick, which is greater? Cheating and sex scandals to national championships? That's easy. Here is to the next 30-1 national runners up.

    @theyolksonyou‌ I went to Maryland but grew up a Maryland/Carolina fan because my parents went to MD but a lot of my extended family went to UNC. I hate watch Maryland now because of the BS reasons they went to the Big "I can't count right" conference. If I wasn't an alumni, I'd disavow my fandom. Debbie Yow sucks(ed). I will always hate Dook and I am neutral with the current foes. I don't get sad when Maryland loses, at least in football.

    Sorry about the ramblin' wreck. That was a good game.

    @Eggcelsior‌ we had a better season than I expected. Unfortunately, we gave CPJ an extension today. This was a good overall season, but that offense gets old. It's not a national championship offense. I really like Maryland, especially in basketball. Sorry to see them leave the ACC.

    Basketball is my favorite. I'm "meh" about football. The only good part is tailgating, personally.

    @Eggcelsior - at Salado, be forewarned.  I'm gonna climb a tree I predict you'll walk under, and if you do, I'll drop out of said tree with two Kentucky #1 foam hand finger things (on both of my hands, I know I'll look stupid) on top of your head and we're gonna fight. 

    If you don't walk under that ambush point, well, I guess I'll just look stupid in a tree.
