New Xmas table
QKing
Posts: 17
Just got my early Christmas gift. Set it up last night and should be cooking tonight. My wooden table gave up the ghost and I decided to invest
in table for years to come.

@QKing What area of the country do you live in? The only suggestion I have would be an umbrella &/or pop-up (or other means of shade). Owning a SS table myself they can get a bit toasty in the FL sun. Just my .02¢LBGE 2013 & MM 2014Die Hard HUSKER & BRONCO FANFlying Low & Slow in "Da Burg" FL

Put a small bracket on back to hold the umbrella pole, top and bottom. Maybe a conduit clamp would work. Like the one pictured here, sorry it's not an egg but it's all I could find

This is at my lake house in northern Ark. I paid $1640 for it & saved some on shipping by picking it up at truck terminal to save on residential delivery. In my area its a killer if impossible to get a semi in to home. I got it from http://www.outdoorkitchenequip.com. Getting the umbrella holder for this next spring.

Sweeeeet! Got to love those umbrellas. Got 2 of them over my smokers. I've found where covers are enough on their own, umbrella backup is the only way to go. When I need to clean them, just take off the fabric and throw it in washer.Beef...It's what's for dinner tonight.

No concerns about the wind catching the umbrella just right and tipping the table over?

Not unless it's a CAT5 ) & Then I'd probably roll her into the lanai.Jeepster47 said:No concerns about the wind catching the umbrella just right and tipping the table over?

@Jeepster47: I think the weight of the table along with the egg should prevent that but I'll keep it down most of the time once I put it on.

Love your electronics box ... what did you use for the elbow? Does that double as the storage container for the unit when the cooks over?

@NPHuskerFL: Nice touch with the bottle opener! I should have asked about that! grrrrMy inner door has a spice & rub holder & I skipped the tool hooks since I just use the towel bar/handle
-
@Jeepster47 the elbow is a PVC 45° dry fitted into a male thread bislip with a retaining nut to secure inside the sterilite box and silicone caulked inside and out. The box shuts in the event of heavy driving rain and the unit gets enough airflow thru the 45° that it doesn't have any issues. And yes it doubles as my storage container once the cook is complete.
Edit: total cost to do this container was around $12-$15.LBGE 2013 & MM 2014Die Hard HUSKER & BRONCO FANFlying Low & Slow in "Da Burg" FL
