MMax table ideas

I am very limited on space on our deck so I wanted to kick around the idea of building a table that can be put away if not in use.  I drew up a picture of what I am considering building out of aluminum.  This will rest on the railing just to the left of the egg in the second picture. What do you think?  imageimage

Looks like an eggcellent idea.  I have been considering adding myself a temporary work table by the same method.

I want to do an outside kitchen area but the  $$$$$$$$ just ain't justified ...yet !!!!

Another issue I have is privacy and security. I live on a corner lot with a busy road behind me.

Just haven't come up with a suitable solution...yet.

@dldawes1 Thanks I got the idea from
www.yourmoderncouple.com/blog/2010/08/26/apartment-bbq-pit/ and adapted it to fit the egg.  Now I hope I can make something that can support the wight.

That should work fine. When doing the build have you given thought to having it having foam, neoprene, rubber etc backed to protect the stucco from getting marred up? Other than that I'd say go for it.

Looks like your idea would work, though I just have one question. Do you know the composition of that wall? If block or brick under that stucco you're fine, but if it is stucco over a wood frame then you might want to consider a heat shield behind it.

@RPR Thanks I did think about that for a min or two and came to the conclusion that the 1/2 thick aluminum plate that I'm making it from will also act as that heat shield for the wall.
