Losing with an online diet coach!
Long time lurker of this part of the forum, and I recently crossed the 30lb weight loss threshold. I have an overall goal of about 95lbs so I'm just under one third of the way there! I thought I'd share a website that has FINALLY helped me to make sustained progress (been going strong since August).

You work with an online diet and fitness coach (mine is the same person using the advisor program because it gets pretty expensive as you go up the programs) who you meet with on a regular basis via Skype. There are group meetings as well at some of the lower pricing tiers. For me, the accountability to someone that isn't judging me (or that I don't perceive to be judging me like some friends and family) has worked very well for me.
To work with your advisor, you post your meals and exercise into an app that they provide, they track your steps using Fitbit and your weight using an Aria scale. They provide all sorts of guidance, and it's working better for me than tracking in MFP or others did only because of the accountability. I thought it might help someone else here to have someone looking over your shoulder and providing regular diet and fitness advice. For me, the biggest thing has been that accountability, some simple guidance to make half of every meal vegetables / fruit (quarter of the food straight from the egg!), and to get into the gym 3-4 days/week.
