I need time and temp and indirect or direct or raised grid. One recipe calls for about 350 degrees for 1 hr. and another calls for about 375 degrees for two hrs. What is best? I have cooked many other dishes (pork, beef, fish, chicken parts, hams, turkeys. but never a beer butt chicken. Know I will enjoy getting the beer in the can to the correct level..[p]Ray Price

Babyray, I cook my drunken chicken at 325 for 1 hour 15 minutes, direct heat, and then let it rest for 20 minutes. I usually cook a 1800 gram chicken, I presume smaller would be quicker
