Hanging Sausage in a Green Egg

I do sausage as a hobby.and would like to know if there is some way to hang sausage in the egg? Stick salami, summer sausage and etc. i know i can lay it on the grills and it will do an excellent job but i don't like the grill marks. I also know foil will eliminate the marks but i just kike the hanging comcept. The sausage is 12 inches long and 3 inches in diameter. I was thinking about clearing out the GE and hang it high up in the dome. Has anyone come up with a grill extender that will extend high in the dome?

tjv has a rectangular rig that sits on top of the adjustable. I think it gives you about two more inches in the centre of the dome. I think you could do it. Or make shorter links.
