Where to get 3" oversized temperature gauge

Went out yesterday to fire up the BGE to heat up a cooked ham, and found my temp gauge glass had been shattered by a falling black walnut. After removing it from the large, and fastidiously removing the tiny shards of glass from my fingers, I took the one off the mini and used it. Now I need a new one to put back on the large, but am thinking of an oversized 3" for the replacement. Anybody with any experience in buying these? Best deal?

I dropped one on my patio and shattered the glass. Pulled the broken shards out (with a pair of pliers  ) and I'm still using it. Rain hasn't affected it so far - it definitely hasn't steamed up. LOL. Guess I'll find out how long it'll last until I bend the stem or the needle. So far so good.

I saw one at Roswell hardware near atlanta. Really nice but $60 so I passed.

Went ahead and spent the money for a large one made by TelTru. Good on my eyes, and calibrated to match the thermapen.

@MidModClod - sweet! is that backlit? how long is the stem? looks like you needed to enlarge the hole, hope that doesn't void the warranty in case anything happens down the road

No, not backlit. Not mine, but a buddies. I think stem is same length, he had to drill the hole slightly for 1/4" stem.

Who needs a fancy remote thermometer when you can see your TruTel from 60 feet away? He can now keep tabs inside his couch on the sofa!

 

His egg was used, so no warrantee anyway...

If you turn it so target temp is straight up, you can tell if you're on target from quite a distance with a standard size thermo. And it's free.

Actually I killed some, and bought replacements but never unpacked them.  I just move one around from one Egg to another.  Even works when using more than one.
