Honey Spice brushing sauce

I did this on chicken leg quarters last night, as well as chicken breast tenderloin strips.  The quarters were done at 400f direct until 165 IT.  The strips got done at 550f with nice charred grill marks on them

Honey Spice Brushing Sauce:
  • ⅓ cup honey
  • 1 Tbsp cider vinegar
  • 1 Tbsp ancho chili powder
  • ½ Tbsp garlic powder
  • ¼ tsp paprika
  • ¼ tsp chipotle powder
  • ½ tsp cumin
  • ¼ tsp cayenne pepper (or more if you want to add more heat)
  • 1 tsp salt

Combine all the above, and brush on the meat.  For larger pieces, divide in 2 and brush the remainder half way through the cooking process.
