Sunday Night Football pork shoulder

Got my shoulder on the morning at 8 AM for tonight's Bronco game. We've got a group coming over later to help take down this large piece of beautiful meat. I'm going to add some ribs this afternoon for chef appetizer, 3-1-1, right next to the shoulder. I rubbed the shoulder yesterday with some Pigs Ass Rub and some Squeal Pig Rub. Shooting for 250 all day. I'm going to try the 3 finger bone pull as recommended by SGH and others. More pic's to follow.

Feed time is 630; game time is 630. You can probably make a flight if you leave now. Gotta love that time change when traveling West!

I am on my way. I lived in Littleton for 4 years in the late 80s. Broncos went to the Super Bowl and lost every year I was there. This was back in the day of a young Elway and the 3 amigos.

Looks good so far.  Just for a helpful hit, if you can move the ribs so that they don't hang over the plate setter it may help you out.  Don't know if you are able to though.

What's the 3 finger bone pull?

If you can pull the bone out with just three fingers the butt or shoulder is done.  Can also probe with a thermometer.  If it goes in like butter it is also done.

I bumped to 300 when I foiled the ribs. I'm at 180 per the pen and the bone is about to jump out of the shoulder... We're close!
