OT - Haunted Houses

Today I went to appraise a funeral home that sold.  It hasn't been operating for a handful of years and it's in a dicey (dangerous) part of Flint.  I've been there for a funeral years ago and have appraised it before as well, but it's been boarded up for a couple of years.  I was surprised it's now a haunted house, but in retrospect I shouldn't have been.  It's got everything a respectable haunted house has.  A strong death connection, it's old and it gives me the creeps!  Being in a dicey part of town adds to it's creepiness, but I don't know anyone who would go there or let their kids go there.  It got me thinking about haunted houses.  Do you go to them?

They do one here in Birmingham in an old defunct steel mill called Sloss Fright Furnace. I haven't been in a few years, but it was always fun.

I've been to a couple in recent years gives me an opportunity to reconnect with my youth! Hitting Six Flags Great America for FrightFest in a couple of weeks! Six haunted houses and all the roller coasters you can get in! Just turned fifty and trying to feel young!

Went on a haunted hayride with my younger cousins last year. It was actually zombie paintball. Each person gets a paintball gun on the wagon and you get to shoot actors who dress like zombies while out in the woods. I enjoyed myself. Laughed my arse off
