Cinnamon Rolls

It's getting cold here and I thought cinnamon rolls would be just the thing for a lazy sunday afternoon. Went with the pillsbury ones in the tube. Put 5 in a CI skillet and cooked with legs up for 20 minutes at 350. Turned out amazing. Flaky bottom with gooey center.

Back in June at the Nebraska Cattleman's Ball, on Saturday morning, we did cinnamon rolls and chocolate chip cookies. Mmmm.

@erniemcclain did you do the cookies on a pizza stone or did you do those in ci as well?
-
I was with @erniemcclain and we did them both on the pizza stone. Would do them again, but with parchment underneath to help with the burning sugar and also with transfer. My wife and I did cinnamon rolls inside an orange peel over coals during our Labor Day camping trip to Spearfish Canyon. They were really good as well. Just a hint of orange flavor with them. Will try to link a pic when I'm not mobile.

I did some on the pizza stone on Sunday. They turned out good. I used parchment paper.Dave - Austin, TX

Holy smokes! They both look great! Very clever idea by making them in the orange peel.

By the way--I agree with tyler, using parchment would help. The sugars melted on the stone and caused a hard black mess. But, remember, a bad day egging beats a good day at work.

@erniemcclain - that would have been Britt's. She got it from that damn Pintrest.
