Butt of a joke

Been a while I've been on this board.  Been quite busy last few months.  Anyway I thought I should share you a story. 

Last week Saturday afternoon, when I got home from doing errands.  My wife said to me… you must have forgotten something.  I asked with a puzzled look because I do not recall her asking me to do something nor am I forgetting something important. Like birthdays, anniversary dates, and such.

She said… where are the butts?  (My wife volunteered me to make pulled pork for the church picnic.  About 60 people total.)

I said no.  It's next weekend but she insist it's on the calendar.  I pulled out my mobile and sure enough.  It's the next day.   So I ran out of the door and bought total of 36 lbs of butt.  Slathered on yellow mustard and laced with coarse black pepper and coarse salt.   Cleaned the egg and started the fire. 

Threw on the grate about an hour half later.  

Was proud as to how I managed to do all this quick.   When I started to relax and I was thinking.  How could I forget something like that but had nagging feeling.  Something's amiss, so I decided to check my calendar again.  Oy... there were two same events on two different Sundays.  Checked church calendar and saw that it was for next week (tomorrow).   Guess who made this event on my calendar.

What do I do with 35 lbs -- total of 4 butts?  I do not want to reheat.  So decided I'll make a video.  Explaining same thing I mentioned here.   Sent to about 20 ppl.

You wouldn't believe harassment I received.  One person sent me a video back cracking at me how I will be made of butt of a joke at his poker table that night.  Needless to say I sold all 4 butts within 1/2 hour of the video.   And everyone was raving the next day how their family and their friends loved their pulled pork.  

Today I was thinking after making 4 more butts.  I've done 70 lbs of butt in 7 days.  :-)

No but jokes ok no but about you had a busy 7 days of cooking you but off  )

You guys are all a bunch of butt heads! I wouldn't give you a hard time but I'm a bit of a butt head too! You really saved your butt though by finding people willing to pay for you butts!
