I cannot get over how pretty this thing thing is. I had the guys at Brian Alan Tables in Azusa, CA custom build this for me because I live near the ocean and I was afraid wood wasn't going withstand the harsh elements. This thing is heavy duty and beautiful!

No sour grapes as your table looks very nice, but I hope you have shade. Today I did a 4 hour gig baking cakes in a large that was in the full sun and had a SS top.  Man-o-man did that top get nearly skin searing hot!

T-Spud1 - Yes is does lift out as well as the top shelf. Brian will add a stainless drawer under the top shelf too if you want it for storage.  I basically told him the dimensions I wanted and he built it to my specifications. I wanted 316 stainless steel because it is marine grade and would resist salt air.  Super friendly guy and it took him under two weeks to build and deliver.

Beautiful table. We went SS 4 years ago. The table is not pampered (never covered unless it hails..and more to protect the egg) and with little soap and water looks showroom new.
Head RRP advice, top can get hot. Also, if cooking during high noon the reflection can be blinding. I bought three large plastic cooking boards from the resturant supply put those on the table while cooking....no problem with glare or heat.

bvdw - The measurements are 32W"x60L"x33"H If I was doing it again I would do 32x72 for extra counter space for an inset flat top grill or a second smaller egg.

Shade/umbrella/pop-up are definitely nice in the FL sun with a SS table.

Glad I made it. The first day I used it the weather went from gorgeous to pouring rain for like 7 hrs. Stoker stayed perfectly dry.

I have seen tables like this on Amazon and was wondering they could be used as an egg table. Did you have to beef it up any and how did you cut the hole?

You can use this type of table. Many are just equipment stands and not prep tables. Stick a magnet on it to see if it's Type 304, it won't stick. Put a brace between top of cater and the bottom shelf so that the shelf can't slide down from the weight of egg.

Check out the closest restaurant supply places around you. Restaurants often upgrade their kitchens every 3-5 years and those places often have a bunch of used stainless steel tables and prep counters sitting around. If you can pick up a good SS table top, making a wood frame for it is pretty easy. Egg holes can be easily cut by your local welding shop.

What I did was take my 8 year old cedar table and have a local guy fabricate a stainless steel top for it. Cost me about $200. It was worth it.
