My lovely wife this morning used the leftover brisket from Friday (that I was going to finish for lunch) to make a pot of chili. OMG!!! Talk about giving chili a different flavor profile. Maybe I need to cook a brisket and use the whole thing in chili.

I might would try with a tri-tip or chuckie, but briskets are just too expensive and hard for me personally to throw into a batch of chili.

Yup. Got some briskie in the freezer from my last smoke. It's sole purpose will be to swim in some chili this fall.

1. Buy brisket. 2. Cut half off and have that ground into hamburger grind for the very best burgers in you life (IMO). 3. Cook the balance and make chili like you just did. No, they will not pull my Texas card for that thought :-wSalado TX & 30A FL: Egg Family: 3 Large and a very well used Mini, added a Mini Max when they came out (I'm good for now). Plus a couple Pit Boss Pellet Smokers.
