Baby steps

So I know most of you cook on multi-levels but I wanted to start slow and try it. On the bottom is chicken and shrimp, and on the top rack is sausage and pineapple , although an easy attempt I did enjoy cooking like this. I apologize for no plated pics we were late for my sons football practice and I forgot. Is there a way to do direct on bottom and indirect on top? Any and all suggestions are greatly appreciated.
