How's the yeti tumbler with hot drinks?
I'm tempted to get the tumbler for coffee at work. I don't really do cold drinks much, but does anyone have any stats on how long it keeps hot beverages hot?

No clue but your post reminds me of the one about FTC and someone asked about how you would keep things hot in a cooler designed for ice. Insulation only works one way....Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. # 38 for the win. Life is too short for light/lite beer! Seems I'm livin in a transitional period.

I gave one toy son and he says it is excellent for hot as well as cold. I'm not a coffee drinker so I can't vouch for it.XL BGE; Medium BGE; L BGE

It's as strong for the hot side as it is for the cold beverages.

I filed a 30 oz Rambler with ice yesterday. 26 hours later, still half full. I'll try the coffee in the morning. SWMBO is pissed because it was gonna be one of my Christmas presents. She wasn't buying the "but @hapster bought one" line.

I'll know when the 20 gets here. Just finished up at the beach and the yeti was full of ice 3+ hours later.
Kids enjoyed some ice treat ( what we call it) on the way home in the car.

I saw them at ace today and contemplated getting one. I'll wait till my coupons come in :-)Dunedin, FL

Does the top on those close? It looks like it just has a hole in the top to drink through.Which came first the chicken or the egg? I egged the chicken and then I ate his leg.

The top does not close, I bought the wife one and did a Fl. car test on it put ice and water in it and left it in the wifes car from 11am till 5pm when she got out of work and the ice was still in the cup it stayed in the cup till around 7am the next day when we filled it up.. She has put a Tervis straw through the drinking slot and works wellClearwater FlLGE

I think with hot drinks it might loose more heat through the hole in the top (since hot air rises). I'm sure it will still work better than your average travel mug, but I would wager it will not outperform an old school vacuum thermos.Which came first the chicken or the egg? I egged the chicken and then I ate his leg.

Wife says hers will keep her coffee hot for several hours.

I have yet to use it for hot beverages. But it is very impressive with cold ones!

Go to Cabelas or Academy or REI. Now if @hapster can recommend a good chef's knife or brisket knife, I'll put it on the list for SWMBO to buy me.

I bought mine yesterday and haven't been able to go anywhere without it. One of the things I hate the most is waking up in the middle of the night and the water beside my bed being room temp. Last night I filled it up with ice and water around 10 pm and it still has 3/4 the ice it had last night. I'll also use it for work.

My coffee never lasts long enough to need the yeti. I went back to get the 20 also but decided it was too small in the store. I haven't gone anywhere without my 30 since the day Hap made us all get one. Love having ice cold water all night by the bed.
