Rutland gasket install

@NPHuskerFL‌ installed a rutland so he gave me some pointers.

Egg after a clean burn.

He said to use a paint stripper.

I didn't have any permatex so I went with liquid nail...should hold up.

I did the stick test...have to do some adjustments

I noticed my firebox has a crack so I thought I'd add another for improved airflow.

Nicely done! Now throw some kingsford easy light in that **** and smoke you some meat! Don't forget to put a little extra lighter fluid in there so she doesn't burn out on you when you turn your back!

@henapple‌ I'm not sure you got the rim clean enough. I read the directions and saw use of 3M stripper. I found this one in the Ukraine and seemed to work the best )
