Greetings friends,

Here at Carolina Beach with my best friends. My buddy I grew up with lost his wife, tragically, in February. First trip here with just him and the three kids. Age 2, 5,and 6.

College roomie and his family are here. He picked up a prime packer. And a CL XL for $350. This thing is MINT. NIB plate setter. Wow. We have it chilling at 225* and ample
Hickory smoke.

Speaking of smoke. @hapster you Likey?


Anyway. We're off for an Oban and Cubana. The neighborhood is good, and a little sad and lonely. Love your loved ones every day.

    I don't know what to say.  Sorry for the loss, and I know it must be hard for your friend to move on.  Hope you all have a great vacation there, I can tell the food, drink, and cigars will be first rate!

    Holy Hell...I couldn't even imagine it.

    Some real talk here, whenever my wife travels, I am Daddy Day Care for my lil ones (currently 4 years and 21 months). When my wife comes home, she asks me how it went. My typical response is "Nothing cray", "Easy Peasy" or "We just played and hung out". Geez, that **** is hard and I am exhausted by the time I get them to bed. Diapers, feeding, play time, baths and then bed time. Shoot, the night is gone and have no clue how she makes it seem so effortless. My wife is our rock and the thought of tragically losing her is honestly tearing me up. I am incredibly sad for your friend and pray and hope for the best for him and the lil kiddos.

    I hope yall's brisket kicks ass!!!

    So sorry for your friend's loss; I can't even begin to imagine how tough that is on him. I'm sure your beach / vac time with him will help more than you know.

    I have a 5 and 2 year old and cannot imagine life without Mom, God Bless and hope he can find peace. Time with friends and the egged up brisket on the crazyiest CL find I have heard about will be some great healing time.
