My egg turns two in September I still remember the first time I lit it. Look how nice and white it was back then. I guess the smoke of 200-300 cooks really blackens the ceramic. Ill say this though the flavor keeps getting better and better.

stemc33, glad you called my attention to Drunkenmeat's creation. Not only a gorgeous space, but a highly functional one, too. My egg's born-on date was this past February. Not that I need another reason to fire it up or toast its arrival. But in case I forget, it's now clearly marked on my calendar.

Thanks guys. jcaspary sorry no plans anyone could use, just some sketches, then drew full scale on lauan plywood. Wood is Red Cedar and was salvaged aquarium racks from my store when I relocated, it's 30 years old. Love having all that counter space and storage for lump, tools, and chunks for smoking.
