smoked white marlin

Has anyone smoked white marlin before? I hear that it is incredible, but I'm not sure of a recipe. Should I smoke at normal 225-250 temp or try to maintain lower? How long? Does it need to be brined or at least soaked first?

Can't help with white marlin but if sailfish is close then a brine certainly helps and a simple rub of s & p followed by a the normal smoke temp you note until fish reaches the condition you desire.

Have done mackerel, king, tuna, sail and mullet with this great recipe for dip over the years.
