With some advice and inspiration from @Cookinbob 's earlier breakfast post today, I gave it a go. Used the fresh preshredded hashbrowns to line the cast iron pan(which I had sauteed the onions and peppers in). Then added the Esskay spicy roll sausage I cooked, 6 eggs scrambled together, and finished with cheddar cheese.  10 mins direct, and 25 indirect at about 375-400deg.  Very tasty :)

He posted 3 photos. This sounds awesome and easy to make. So you went 10 minutes direct first, then 25 minutes indirect? I would think 35 to 45 minutes indirect at 350° to 400° would be fine. Less work in messing with PS.

Probably needed the direct to get the hashbrowns to crisp up a little on the bottom. I've been meaning to do something like this myself.. Fry some sausage and bacon, then add the hashbrown to skillet, direct and get them cooked up a bit. Press into the bottom of the pan, scramble some eggs with cheese, the bacon and sausage and some onion and pour into the skillet over the hashbrowns, top with cheese and go indirect until cooked.

Thanks all!  Yes, I went direct first to crisp up the hashbrowns.   Definitely room for experimentation.  Realized after the fact a bit of hot sauce would have been excellent with this.
