I scored an awesome piece of green granite for 30 bucks so I am going to inlay it in my table. The granite is 25x25x1-1/4 thick. I got the table top cut out and sanded down. I want to put a coat or two of finish on the whole table top before putting the granite in. I will have to wait until tomorrow though because like my grandpa used to say "it is coming up a cloud". AKA about to rain. I will send completed pics when I complete it in a day or two.

That will look great. For $30 that was quite a deal. Great egging area you have there!Which came first the chicken or the egg? I egged the chicken and then I ate his leg.

Thanks guys.

What restaurant did you steal that from in Cullman?Green egg, dead animal and alcohol. The "Boro".. TN

@henapple I actually got it in Madison. The guy is remodeling his kitchen and pulled out all of the old granite. He still has several pieces left. I thought about getting more of it. It couldn't have been a better color.

Very nice. Granite is a great choice for an outdoor work surface. I recently opted for a stainless steel upgrade. If one has a restaurant equipment store anywhere close, it's possible to find salvaged 304 mirror-finish stainless steel table tops that can be picked up for about 1/2 the price of new stainless steel. Any fabricator can adapt such a re-purposed top. The OP got a great deal. My upgrade ended up costing about $225, and I had to spend a lot of time with Scotchbrite on an orbital sander to get it polished up and get the welding burn marks off. Worth it, though. It was awesome first time I rolled out a few pizza crusts right there at the work station.

Very nice @shtgunal3 and @Maccool . I just use a nest, but someday plan to get a table or nice work station. I like it when all the EggHeads show off their eggs and outdoor kitchens/work areas. :-bdSteven
