Operating instructions

Just purchased the LBGE this week, absolutely love it. Haven't missed a day of use all week. My question is, does this come with any kind of instruction manual? Or are you expected to learn via the forum. I do realize their has to be some common sense applied. Has not been difficult to do basics, but seems like everything you purchase theses has some basic info that comes with it. Thanks for any response.

My Egg came with a DVD instruction manual.  I never watched it.

If I remember correctly bge put out a bunch of help videos for newbies on YouTube. One even showed assembly.

Mine came assembled from dealer and delivery was included. I agree, there's a ton of info both on forum and of course on YouTube. Totally impressed with the Egg.

@mags3311 - welcome to the forum and welcome to your instructional guide!! All you have to do is ask questions and you will get help from the many accomplished eggheads that gather here habitually. The next step is to post pics of the awesome cooks that you have done on your egg. Pretty simple and a whole lotta fun.

Got mine in June. Was somewhat familiar with kamado cooking due to owning a Chargriller Acorn . Big green egg takes it one giant step further  in a very good way . Check out the accessories for the Egg . Lots of nice stuff out there that can really enhance the experience . The Smokeware cap is a good place to start . Ceramic Grill store has some real helpful items . You will find yourself sitting with a nice adult beverage and staring at your egg one sunny afternoon with a big smile on your face .Kind of like when I got my first Harley and had to keep running down to the garage to look at what I had .

They stopped including the DVD probably a couple of years ago and put all of the videos on the BGE site. You'll find them (and likely more) here: http://www.biggreenegg.com/video/

Still in the plastic unopened.  Is it a collectors item?  Maybe I'll put it on Ebay or Craigslist.  Might throw in a tee shirt.
