This may already have been posted on this thread . . . I wasn't here when the thread started, so please forgive the jam.

@Sardonicus - I love that series, and the music. I mean, I'm a bit jaded having lived in New Orleans for 25 years, but I lived it with passion. DJ Davis and his buddy Henry (actually played by Henry) are dudes I used to hang out with back in the early 90s. DJ Davis is in the series as a friend of DJ Davis. Go figure. And I jerk off to the food porn every time

I used to go to the Monday night Jam session at Joe's Cozy corner. You never knew if your car would still be there to go home. Kermit Ruffin was a relative unknown. He was there most jam sessions, DJ davis on the keyboard. They had free red beans and rice and cheap beer. This was in like '92-93

Man, you don't know . . . I absolutely love that place. Retired, but unsure of where we'll decide to settle and wait for . . . you know.
Anyway, I/we want to be at an appropriate distance for the occasional weekend jaunt to NOLA. (Actually, it's more me than her - but I'm much bigger than she is, so . . . )
We're giving ourselves a two year window to decide. For sure, we'll end up somewhere in the SE USA.

@Sardonicus - I can't imagine living anywhere else. Although I wish I had a big garage to work on floats, cars and boats. I might buy something garage-ey, we are very urban, one off street parking slot that SWMBO and I fight over.
Other than that, the culture here is rich. Yeah, I miss mountain roads but that's about it.
Lemme know if you come into town, love to have a drink and dinner with y'all, and we can make fun of @henapple. Actually love that guy. I'm really not that evil. Just cursed with enlightenment.

@NOLAEggHead - Good luck to you, A.D., and the Birds!
(They're gonna need a LOT of luck, you'll admit.)

@Sardonicus thanks, yeah, we just squeezed in. That last game against the Spurs was fun to watch. I'm not that optimistic, but anything can happen.
