Dueling Appetizers

I needed a dish that would transport okay to a friends party. I decided on two appetizers: pig-in-the-blankets, which I intended for the kids though the adults gave the kids a run for their money; and pig shots.

The PIBs were super easy; I used little precooked sausages and wrapped in croissant dough that you get in a biscuit-type can at the store. They cook super fast, maybe 12-15 min indirect at around 350.

For the pig shots, I wrapped sausage on bacon; added cream cheese (reduced fat, to keep them healthy...yeah right), and did done with Mexican cheese mix, some with Regg/Parm , and some with both. I alternated one of three different spice mixes to add variety and give people (ok, me) an excuse to eat more for "sampling purposes". I cooked these about 45 min indirect at about 325 dome.

There are no leftovers.
