Beer Can Chicken - Malt Liquor or Beer ?
Going to BGE a chicken tonight. Bought a can of malt liquor and a can of regular old coors
Anyone tried the malt liquor on the chicken ? Think it could be pretty good

I have done several "can" chickens and do not notice any flavor from whatever liquid is in the can but that's just my opinion. If you notice a flavor enhancement let me knwo as my tastebuds may not work correctly.

It makes no difference, it has been proven the liquid, whatever it is, stays in the can. All it does is hold up your bird.

You should spatchcock the bird and drink both :P

I drink the beer and put water in the can... Wife never noticed a thing. Can't see wasting a good beer..

amazing ribs has an article about beer can chicken debunking any myths...in regards to beer...
"MYTH: The beer moisturizes the meat. There is no way on earth the beer can escape the can and contact the flesh because the can blocks sideways movement and the beer never gets hot enough to steam and come out the top. That means no steam. Zero. Zip. Nada. In addition, fat from the chicken forms a layer on top of the bear to prevent steaming even if it did get hot enough.
