Jalamango wings- advice needed!

Ive done @Dyal_SC jalamango wings a couple times now and have been asked to do them for this weekend. I have heard mesquite is good on wings but I always hear bad things about mesquite, so I've never used it. I am a fan of hickory but up until now, I always use fruitwood on chicken. What are your thoughts on using mesquite+chicken? Also, the sauce is always a bit runny, so I'm going to try reducing it down to thicken it up. TIA!

I hear that you can but not for me. I guess it's personal taste but it's really not that strong on a 1 hr cookBe careful, man! I've got a beverage here.

The few times I used mesquite with chicken I liked it but my wife and kids commented that it had too strong of a smoky flavor.
I use pecan for almost all my cooks and we love it."I'm stupidest when I try to be funny"

As a personal preference, I don't add any wood smoke to the jalamango lime wings. I'd imagine the mesquite working just fine though. Glad y'all like them!

You talking about your Central Market Mesquite lump?travisstrick said:I do all the time. Never had a complaint.Just a hack that makes some $hitty BBQ.... -
Just found the recipe and saved it... can't wait to try it.I know I may catch some grief for this but my favorite wing at buffalo wild wings are the mango habanero. Im hoping these will blow them away! I like hot and sweet (just like the little lady)!!XL BGE - Med BGE - Mini BGE - Traeger Pellet GrillsHillsboro OR
