WD-50 is Closing

So since I first heard about "Meat Glue" from Cen Tex Smoker here. And also learned about Souse vide. And kind of got turned into a foodie because of the bad influences on here...

Thought I should share. I've been wanting to visit Wylie Dufresne's WD-50 modernist cuisine restaurant in Manhattan for some time. Still haven't been there, and now it looks like there is a ticking time clock. He is being forced to close, November 30 is the last day of service.



Looks like I have 173 days to get there. I was kind of planning to get the five course menu. Knowing he is closing doors and doesn't know if/when/where he will re-open I will be getting the twelve course when I get there. And it will happen before Nov 30.

    Probably true, but I'm going to do my best to get there before he closes the current location.

    Cool...we'll be there in October.  Might have to make a reservation.
    Just a hack that makes some $hitty BBQ....
