Ok. Just drove to Concord NH from Texas (2000 miles). Will be in Bar Harbor Maine Thur/Fri/Sat (have resv's). What will it take to get there. Always wanted to go. How far?

We decided to travel anywhere we wanted for a couple of years or a few more months. All I can say is retire the first day you can.

Wife and I were planning to go down there this summer. What's the fishing like in September?

There are some salmon running but a late start due to ice, but things are picking up. Season is open till October I believe. As for trout I'm not sure on the dates.

If you are driving up the coast, do take advantage of the roadside Lobster Pots in Maine
