No... Nothing quite that exciting. Sorry for the share in advance...

We lost our first daughter; my wife had to deliver at 5mo. The nurses told us that the Catholic Church would not recognize our daughter, no last rights or baptism etc.

After saying our goodbyes; my wife was sedated; I said f this, and went back and baptized my little girl myself.
My wife apparently never knew that until today...

Less than two years later; Elise was born at 26weeks and just over a pound and half.

I've been dragging around some issues needless to say...

Maybe TMI...

@hapster I'm with you on that. We lost 2 between our 2nd and 3rd children. Doesn't matter if it is at 11 weeks, 15 week, 5 months, 9 months, to us it still was very real, a part of our family was gone. I remember my wife telling me on the phone about the second one and I hung up, called my manager I needed some time off, then bawled my eyes out while I gathered stuff to meet my wife for the D & C.

I am glad that my wife knows, not that it was a damaging secret or anything, I just always assumed she knew... My wife is and always will be my hero; going thru this an then having Elise early. She has been a champ all the way through, and stronger than anyone I've ever seen.

Probably not the right place to share this stuff... but WTF right? I'm almost as high as a kite LOL
