First Brisket

THOUGHTS: Prepped my first brisket, set Egg dome temp to 225 and put on brisket. Checked 1-2 Hrs. later and fire had gone out. Re-lite Egg and set again at 225 dome temp. Checked brisket after 2 hours and tempo was at 450, brisket temp was 180, so being 4:30am, I wrapped brisket put into cooler and went to bed disappointed. Checked brisket in morning, looked good. Crazy thing was brisket was delicious, everyone loved it..........not sure why I had issues with Egg. Have it 1.5 years and never had this problem before.....using Royal Oak lump for first time. Also cleaned Egg before cook, so it wasn't ash build up or clogged air flow issues.
