Well to do something different for the 4th of July weekend, I fired up the egg and invited the family over for a turkey dinner. Did a 13 lb bird. Rubbed it down with butter, sprinkled with poultry seasoning. Mixed up a little salt, pepper, fresh rosemary, thyme & basil (from the herb garden) and rubbed that all over the turkey. Placed in foil pan with 3 cups of chicken stock and 1 cup white wine. Smoked at 325 for about 3 1/2 hours. Took it off and wrapped it in foil and let it rest for 20 minutes. Great tasting turkey. Came out nice and moist.

Used maple wood for smoke. Didn't go traditional with stuffing and cranberry sauce. Made a pot of baked beans, slaw & BBQ pasta salad. Can't wait for the leftovers today.
