Awesome Wings
Made some awesome wings that I had to share with everyone. Here is the deal:
Go to your butcher and get 2 dozen drummetts. This is crutial, don't get the other part of the wing.
You need a 1 gallon zip lock back to get started.
Fill the bag with the drummetts.
Mix in 2 cups Zing Zang bloody mary mix.
1 cup soy sauce
1/2 cup franks hot sauce
1/2 bottle of lemon juice
Fill up with a little water to cover the rest of the wings.
Let this mixture sit over night.
Get your egg up to 350 with plate setter, legs up and grate on.
Get the wings in a pyrex dish and sprinkle one side with some franks red hot and whatever rub you have on hand.
Put the wings in a circle on the grill, make sure the wings don't hang over the plate setter (rub and hot sauce side up).
Cook for 30 minutes, then turn. Sprinkle more franks and rub on the other side.
Cook for another 25 - 30 minutes. Done.
Enjoy!

@TN2TX - Those look fantastic! Was planning on trying some wings on my 2-week old LBGE this weekend.
Have you ever smoked them? Any suggestions if you have?

@divecj5 When I cooked them, I didn't use any wood chips. It doesn't really need them but I don't think it would hurt. Let me know how these turn out!Dallas, TX

I don't drink Bloody Marys very often but when I do I prefer Zing Zang.

I brine my wings in a simple brine for 24 hours. then smoke them using apple wood. It adds a nice subtle sweetness when coating them in buffalo sauce.

Great idea and they look good. I'll try them for sure.

I love Zing Zang Bloody mix, so I imagine this makes a great marinade. It's salty, so I cant see need ing to brine in addition to this. You forgot to mention adding some vodka to the extra Zing Zang Mix as a beverage while you cook!1 LBGE in Chapel Hill, NC
