Bacon & eggs for breakfast every morning.  I drain the bacon on a half-sheet paper towel, use that crumpled up and dropped in before replacing the KAB.  It doesn't provide quite the required BTUs in the winter, however.

My ziploc bag of oil soaked paper towels gets kind of messy. Duh. Never thought of a coffee can.  I'm drinking coffee all day so I can hurry and empty the can.  :)
    Thanks for the tip.

Jam jar for me. Roll them up and put a knot in the middle so they look like a bow tie. Avoids any separation issues and slows the burn time.
