Guava Wood Chunks

Just received my Guava Wood from HI. Thanks Greg. Do you soak or not? Also, these are so large it looks like you could break these into halves or even thirds and use!?

egret, I have soaked them, but have found them better when dry. If you do soak though use a stainless steel or glass container as a brownish-red color leaches out and turns the water dark.

egret,[p]No need to soak - just control the oxygen supply to your fire and you should be fine.[p]And yeah, I've split some of my chunks in two and they do just fine.[p]You're gonna love the guava![p]TRex
