Can't tell from the pics, but with all of the recent house fires posted on this forum as a result of Eggs in wood tables, maybe you could show some pics of the gaps between your egg and your table. Is the egg sitting directly on what looks like a paver stone, or is there a metal nest holding it an inch or so above the paver?

Fantastic design and choice of materials. May I ask what is the distance between the first and second levels? I am in the process of building my table and comparing various designs to BGE's suggested measurement of 15 inches. Many thanks.
