Finally a real Egghead!

After a 5 year wait, I am officially an egghead! I couldn't be more
excited! I received the egg a couple days ago and I am just now getting
around to posting pics of my first cook. Decided to go with a 9lb boston
butt cooked at 250 for about 15 hours and it turned out great. Not only
that, but it was soooo much easier doing an overnight cook on the egg
then on my WSM. I actually got to sleep and didn't have to add water
or charcoal anytime during the cook. In fact, I had enough lump left
after the boston butt to cook some stuffed red peppers at 400 for an
hour, and there was still lump left after that! Amazing! I finally see
what all the hype is about and I couldn't be happier with this purchase.

That's just a side of BBQ sauce Egghead_Daron. Now you mention it, it does look like a beverage in the pic.

@MagicMike... FYI, if you want another forum member to know that you mentioned them in a post, add a @ before their handle. Hold up just a little. You will become an EggHead as soon as you burn off the hair on your arms. Sorry but rules are rules. Now that is going to happen a lot sooner than you expect. You just can't understand "burping" till you become an EggHead. See, it all happens at once. Bet you are an a EggHead before the weekend :-tSalado TX & 30A FL: Egg Family: 3 Large and a very well used Mini, added a Mini Max when they came out (I'm good for now). Just given a Mini to add to the herd.

Welcome from Midlothian, VA! OK, so he's not in until he smokes a butt and has a hair singing flashback. What other tests do initiates have to pass? A Moink Ball and ABT cook?
