First all night cook question

in Pork
I put a 8 lb butt on last night. No Digi-Q so I just let it ride. Checked at 2 am and it was still around 250. I got up at 6:30 and the dome was down to 180. I got it going again and we are back in action. My question is, since I don't know how long it was at 180, there is no problem with the meat riding at that temp right? (Other than it slowing things down) Internal of the meat is now 154. Thanks!

You're fine. It was only below your target temp for a couple of hours. Might add an hour or so to your finish time. If you end up pressed for time, bump up your temp now to 275-300. If you have a lot of sugar in your rub, I would keep it under the 300 mark. Good luck and enjoy!L x2, M, S, Mini and a Blackstone 36. She says I have enough now....eggAddict from MN!
