It's finally done. first photo is "before". On the screened porch in the background you can see the Egg and (gasp) a bag of Royal Oak. SWMBO told me that my Egg and I were being evicted from the porch now that nice weather was on the way. The place where the Weber sits was under some nasty, diseased holly trees that constantly rained crap on the area below. Pic 2 shows trees coming out. Pic 3 is way cool awning going up that my wife arranged. The top is vented and has mounting plate for ceiling fan. Will run on reverse to exhaust upwards - applies to weber only. Pic 4 is new SS table from Tim on this forum. it rocks and is rock solid. Pic 5 shows path to regular patio. I opted for a wheeled table because in nice weather I can very easily roll it out onto big patio. In pic 6 you can see a bit of the underside of awning. Heading to lowe's now for lights and ceiling fan!

Oh, and this narrow sidewalk area / now outdoor cooking area was the ONLY place on the property SWMBO would allow this to be done. I think it turned out pretty well given the space limitations.Richmond and Mathews County, VA. Large BGE, Weber gas, little Weber charcoal. Vintage ManGrates. Helluva job my friend. Helluva job!The Dude: This is a very complicated case, Maude. You know, a lotta ins, lotta outs, lotta what-have-you's. And, uh, lotta strands to keep in my head, man. Lotta strands in old Duder's head. Luckily I'm adhering to a pretty strict, uh, drug regimen to keep my mind, you know, limber.Walter Sobchak: Nihilists! *uck me. I mean, say what you want about the tenets of National Socialism, Dude, at least it's an ethos.

Tim is tsokr@USA.net. Can't remember his screen name here but his company custom builds SS tables for eggs. Ain't cheap (mine was about $2k) but so worth it. My table is built like an aircraft carrier. But easier to roll. You can custom configure the shelving, platesetter holder, storage options, work surfaces, etc. Very heavy duty SS. Doors sound like car doors closing. @CookBook_Chip come on over and take a test drive!Richmond and Mathews County, VA. Large BGE, Weber gas, little Weber charcoal. Vintage ManGrates. He did throw in a free set of FireWires and vintage Mangrates. Funny thing is, I was actually given Mangrates as a gift a few years back and they're sitting unseasoned in their original box in my basement. Hmmmmm, I feel a new discussion topic forming. Must think of the proper photo shoot. I don't think actual Mangrates have ever been photographed on an actual BGE. Be right back....Richmond and Mathews County, VA.
