Smoke leaking through ceramic

So I noticed today during my cook that smoke was coming from the egg. Upon further investigation it seems to be coming from the bottom of the egg where there would be no openings (see attached photos). I've only had my egg for about a year so I'm kind of nervous about continuing to use it.
What should I do? Is this covered by the warranty?
Thanks in advance

I bought my egg with the understanding that the ceramic is garenteed for life as long as it is not mishandled. Contact the company, I would like to see how this goes.Large BGESan Angelo, texas

The BGE company is great with replacement authorizations. Getting it from the distributor and dealer is an exercise in patience.Kemah, TX

If you clean out your egg completely and then take a look from the inside at the bottom of the egg, you'll probably see a tiny crack. As long as you bought from an authorized store, you are fully covered. Contact your store for assistance. I did this a few months ago and had no trouble getting a new base.

You may have to take a shop vac to the inside of it to see any cracks. In my experience, the crack was filled in with ash and the inside looked perfect until I vac'd it out. Took about 3 weeks for me to get my new base from the dealer.L x2, M, S, Mini and a Blackstone 36. She says I have enough now....eggAddict from MN!

Thanks for the advice. I called the dealer and I need to provide them with pictures of the crack. They gave me a similar timeline. One question they couldn't asnwer was will I need to buy a new gasket or will the base come with one installed?

My base came with a gasket too. I took mine off and replaced it with a Rutland before I installed the new base.L x2, M, S, Mini and a Blackstone 36. She says I have enough now....eggAddict from MN!

That is exactly why I asked. I was going to see if it came with a high temp gasket or was worth it to put on my own since it will be taken apart.

My replacement base also came with a gasket. It looked exactly like the Hi Que so I believe it is a high temp. In addition, I have been over 600 without any gasket issues. I'd use it until it needs replacing.
