Wild King Salmon Tonight

Someone posted earlier in the week about my favorite boutique meat market (Costco) having fresh troll caught wild king salmon. I needed to stock up for the weekend anyhow, so checked, and there it was. The GFU came home hungry this evening, so nothing fancy for prep - threw on a little DP Raging River, a little fresh ground black pepper, a little butter and lemon, and that was it!!! Raised direct at 350 with alder for smoke. Real yummy! I think it was every bit as good at $16.99/lb as the salmon I got at Whole Foods last week for $30/lb. Highly recommended. I did it in a very handy stainless steel griddle from Williams Sonoma, which is on sale now for 20% off. I use it all the time for both fish and veggies.

You must be out around the Motherland (Kirkland) to be getting wild caught King Salmon in your Costco, surely it's not available here in Flarida. Surely. (If it is I'm on my waaaaaaaaaaaay . . . . ).
