Yet another pizza cook

It was just my eldest and me for dinner last night. It was "FFY" on the menu (that's our family-speak for Fend for Yourself) so I thought some mid-week pizza was a good play. I had a hankering for pepperoni and my daughter, Neapolitan. So why not make a hybrid? Cheated on the dough (Publix) and simple sauce of tomato sauce, dried Oregano, sugar and a pinch of salt. Cobbled together some fresh Basil from the garden. 500 deg dome for 8 minutes. It was a hit and I got some good time with my girl.

    Quality time with your daughter was the most important part of that meal.  I have two "tweens", and my time with them is fleeting.

    I have a teen (almost 17) and a tween (11). Fortunately my teen has a taste for good food and eating at the table is a priority but I too can see those moments dwindling so do it while you can!

    The pizza looks good. I agree about time spent with the children. My son is almost 16 and my daughter is almost 13. Time is going by very quick.
