Got someone offering up a used large + Adj Rig + nest + cover for $850. I think he's a little high. What do y'all think? No pics, but says it's only been used a handful of times.

The big factor in buying used isn't "how used" it is. It's that the warranty isn't transferable to the buyer - so you don't get the warranty.
I agree, that's very high. The warranty is well worth the difference.

That's probably $300 off retail for all that stuff. Seems a little high to me with the warranty issue.XL,L,SWinston-Salem, NC

Yep too high. Maybe make an offer on the ArLBGE& SBGE———————————————•———————– Pennsylvania / poconos

That's what I told him. His response was "I think $500 off retail after taxes is a pretty good deal and if you read the warranty using non BGE accessories voids the warranty anyways". My response to that was, the warranty is a big deal to people who know and I still think you're high. You might sell it to someone who doesn't know anything about them, but for someone who knows about the warranty issue, that's too high.------------------------------------------------------------------------LBGE 2013 - MiniMax 2015 - Seemingly every accessory the fine folks at CGS sell - Fightin' Texas Aggie till I die - Gig 'Em - Located in the bright lights of Dallas

The lifetime warranty is exactly why I would never buy a used Egg...unless the price was at least 1/2 of what I could get locally or at Eggfest. Between replacing my base once and firebox and fire ring twice, I would have lost money already if I weren't the original registered owner.Joe - I'm a reformed gasser-holic aka 4Runner Columbia, SC Wonderful BGE Resource Site: http://www.nakedwhiz.com/ceramicfaq.htm and http://www.nibblemethis.com/ and http://playingwithfireandsmoke.blogspot.com/2006/02/recipes.html

The price is subjective really. What's it worth to you? And are you comfortable not having a warranty? Price is the price... I'm sure you could get that negotiated drown a bit but, doesn't change the fact it will come with 0, zilch, nada warranty. To me that's a bummer.LBGE 2013 & MM 2014Die Hard HUSKER & BRONCO FANFlying Low & Slow in "Da Burg" FL

To be honest, I just sold my egg and most of the setup. You guys realize that you shouldnt spend that much on a used egg for lack of warranty, but the truth is that so many people are none the wiser and think that is a steal because they are not on the forum and see what we do. Mine sold in a flash and the guy was grateful eventhough the egg was NAsssssssTYBeaufort, SC
