OT - Tuscaloosa BBQ

My wife is taking my son down to look at the University of Alabama this week and they want to get some BBQ while they are there. I know the original Dreamland BBQ is there but they both really wanted to get Pulled Pork and everything I've seen is that location only has Ribs and sausage. Any other suggestions for that area?

  • Dreamland now has chopped pork & chicken which is pretty good, at least in Birmingham. Archibald's has great ribs& sliced pork, but don't be scared off by the exterior of the building.

Both are in the "100 places to eat in Alabama before I die" book

PS, Full Moon Barbecue is not bad for a chain (Southern restaurants), at least there is plenty of room inside.

     Go Bucks!

Dreamland is more about the expirence and saying I've been there, at least when I went. My dad took me when I was younger. We used to do this spring break trips that he would let me help plan. We stopped there and they bring a loaf of white bunny bread, roll of paper towels and two racks of ribs. Great memory. It's more commercialized now.
