thanks canugghead, link saved. the kitchen is my next project after the roof this year. my stoves too big and the kitchens too small, i usually have the front door wide open and its just not enough. i know last time i looked at hoods the recommendations were all over the place as to size, height above cook top etc, i know i want more height than they recommend so maybe bigger is better
