Burgers,Ham, and Memorial Day

Yesterday tried hamburgers with a different spin. A local pub- Schindlers, in New Hamburg, Mo., cooks burgers with onions and bologna as toppings. We tried a variation of their burgers. We cooked 1/3 lb. burgers medium and topped with 1/4 inch slices of ham cooked 3 minutes a side that were drizzled with one of Natures Boy's rubs. Blue cheese on top of the ham and toasted bun. Sounds weird but was very good. Happy Memorial Day to all eggheads. Our family is celebrating today. Our son returned 3 months ago after serving 1 year in Iraq. Several close calls as a Humvee driver. One of the attacks was in Amarah--rpg's killed 3 guys in the vehicle right behind his. So yes, we are very happy to have him back and getting set to go back to college at Semo U. Thanks to all the kids over there now and prayers for their safety.
