Easy one - hamburgers
Going to attempt hamburgers tomorrow night. Easy, right? Any quirks/tips on cooking these on a BGE?

I like raised direct about 400-450 dome. Super easy but regular direct is a bit tougher. Getting away from the coals a bit helps a lot.

I don't have an adjustable rig so I cook mine direct. I guess since I am not raised I have to flip them more often, but it isn't a big deal.
I will say that my first batch of burgers I cooked on my egg were so good that I knew I made the right decision to purchase an egg.Louisville, GA - 2 Large BGE's -

Indirect until around 120..then pan seared till 160-165. I've started grinding my own meat. ..huge difference. I will say the family prefers my turkey burgers.Green egg, dead animal and alcohol. The "Boro".. TN

Before I spent the coin on the adjustable rig (which I have never regretted by the way), I raised my grill by spending less than $10 on some fire brick and placed them on the fire ring at 12:00, 4:00 and 8:00.LBGE (2012), MiniMax (2014), and too many Eggcessories to list. - Sudbury, Ontario

Been doing the same thing here. Crazy difference between fresh and store bought ground meat. @henapple the last turkey I ground I mixed with 3 chicken thighs and they were good enough to be wife approved.

Fresh ground brisket makes the best burgers to me too. just can't beat em.

I find burgers to be difficult. Still working to find the right combo. Maybe it is because the highest I can go is the felt line with the woo2.XL egg owner, home brewer, jogger, coffee roaster, gamer
