BBQ Guri DigiQ Probe Placement

I have a question for my fellow eggers with a DIGIQ.  When you're using the temperature probe for the grate, where on the grate do you place it in relation to both the food and the egg's grate itself? From what I understand the temperature in the egg is warmer in the back than it is in the front due to the design and airflow.

I actually clip mine on the clip for the dome gauge.  This keeps it out of the way of the food when I open and close the lid

I use the probe tree from bbq guru, placed next to the meat with the probe clipped near the top of the meat.
